Barista

*FULL TIME / PART TIME

We are looking for kick-ass baristas to join our team! Do you love coffee? Wine? Beer? We have a job for you! We need outgoing, friendly personalities who can handle customers and enjoy interacting with others.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and efficient way

• Prepare & serve hot or cold beverages - such as espresso drinks, wines, beers, and teas

• Knowledge of Verbena’s cafe menu

• Must also be able to work cash register and POS system

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace

• Restock supplies throughout shift

• Ability to work in a busy environment, but also be proactive when slow

• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be 18+ years of age

• Preferred experienced baristas, but not required. Must be able to be teachable & trained. Willing to train the right applicant!

• Must be outgoing, friendly, and able to handle all types of customers

• Communicative, strong listening skills, and high sense of awareness

• Must be able to multitask, be independent, take initiative, and keep attention to detail

• Must be able to maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep the social house operating to standard
